She began her career in retail with Federated Department Store leaders such as Burdine’s and Bloomingdale’s, achieving awards for profit, succession planning, customer service training for retail, coaching and new store opening process. She delivered organization development solutions and gained industry recognition with specialty retailers such as The Gap, Inc., Old Navy, Hemisphere, Banana Republic, Guess?, Inc., and Victoria’s Secret.
She led global training and organization development teams, as well as produced, directed, and implemented videos and interactive, award-winning CD- ROM‘s. In addition, she executed company-wide values, vision & mission workshops to +20,000 employee populations, designed and implemented employee surveys in multiple languages and provided executive coaching for 360-degree feedback.
She was an early technology adopter technology to create and leverage virtual learning, ‘learning to lead’ environments and hybrid learning approach. At Levi Strauss & Company she led global leadership development solutions (360 feedback, learning strategy, employee survey, succession planning, front-line management development solutions) for Asia, Europe and North America impacting ~1500 employees.
Technology companies such as Earthlink Network required a new approach to attract, onboard and develop leaders and managers during rapid growth. This included creating a competency model and change management strategy and tactics with executives. She delivered top-notch results for Veritas, RedEnvelope, Peoplepc, Petopia, Matrix Pharmaceuticals, Alza and Ingram Micro where she led a global re-organization project for the marketing organization including 17 countries and 500 employees. The Corporate Leadership Council recognized performance management system work completed for Alza Pharmaceuticals.
Consumer product organizations such as Discovery Communications, Inc., Peet’s Coffee and Tea, Longs Drug Stores and Williams-Sonoma, Inc. also required change leadership. Her high-energy facilitation style engaged all constituencies to lead change by “being the change” and ‘paying attention’.
Key accomplishments in this stream include change management for supply chain implementation and organization change moving from an operations and functional- based training strategy to a leader-led, field-based training management system impacting ~4,000 domestic employees.
