What Is Included?

The fee for the public workshop is $2,200.00 when paid by ACH or check.  There is a credit card transaction fee when paying by a major credit card. The registration fees are inclusive of the following: workshop fees, participant materials, one–-up to 20-minute virtual feedback, or design session up to six months following the workshop.  IBCT application certification fees are an additional $400.00 which are collected by TrainSmart along with the international certification required documents and then submitted to the IBCT for their review.

Fees are due 21 days before the workshop.  There are no refunds.  If a participant is unable to attend their scheduled workshop, they have up to one year to reschedule.  They may transfer their credit to another person, with written permission.

    Question: What sets your TTT above others? Is it the facilitators? The certification? Your content?

    It is all of the above.  We have awesome, engaged, informed, well-educated, and fun master facilitators that continue to grow in the L & D space because they choose to be the best to assist others to grow in their training function.  The small class size.  The agility and flexibility that we give the facilitators to run the workshop include details required while optimizing the request and needs of the participants. With the number of practices and interactions, there is very little lecture occurring during the three days.  The content is updated and reviewed, regularly and the IBCT requires a re-certification every three years to ensure that the program is keeping pace with the Learning and Development trends and practices.

    Question: What is the main focus of the content of your Train-the-Trainer workshop?

    The focus of the train-the-trainer course is to prepare the participant to understand how adults learn best, understand how to assess the learning need, and how to write solid objectives that tie to the program design and development.  There is a large part of the workshop that focuses on delivering and evaluating the training.  Topics include communication skills, presentation skills, various best practices training techniques, preparing for the delivery of training, listening, questioning, handling difficult situations, virtual training, one-on-one, classroom management, and finally evaluation.  We would suggest using your content for the various practices throughout the three-day workshop.  The amount of emphasis on a given topic and if there are a particular policy and practice at your organization, we will infuse it into our training.

    Question: How many days is TrainSMART’s Train-the-Trainer Course?

    Answer: TrainSmart’s Internationally Certified Train-the-Trainer course is a three-day workshop filled with current tips and techniques, best practices, and hours of practice.

    Question: What does the course include?

    Answer: Following the workshop, each participant is able to submit a recording of their training, and then experience a one-on-one virtual facilitated feedback session.

    Question: What is the 3rd day of training like?

    Answer: On Day 3, you will facilitate a 10 to 15-minute “training session” on a topic of your choice.  This event is peer-reviewed and video-recorded.  Your goal for this session is to simulate as real a training experience as possible.  To help you achieve this, please review the attached Train-the-Trainer Pre-work document then send me a high-level outline of your topic, along with an example of an activity you’d like to include at least five days prior to the course.  If you are able to do this, I will send you feedback and suggestions before the start of the course.  You may bring any additional materials and aids that will help with your session.  A laptop and projector are available for PPT.

    Question: Does TrainSMART Offer On-Site Train-the-Trainer Options?

    Answer: The onsite private workshop is $15,000 for up to ten participants, plus travel and living expenses for the facilitator.

    Question: What differentiates your Train-the-Trainer program from other Train-the-Trainer companies and programs?

    TrainSmart’s Internationally Certified Train-the-Trainer workshop is certified by The International Board of Certified Trainers and is not Self-Certified.  You will find that most of the TTT programs are certified by the company that designed and developed the workshops which do not give it creditability or hold it to a particular standard, like TrainSmart’s TTT.  Further, TrainSmart tailors/customizes all of its programs to meet the needs/goals/objectives of the audience, as we know that this will provide the greatest value and knowledge transfer for the participants.

    How does international certification benefit me?  What does the international certification do for my company?

    IBCT certification sets you apart from most.  It is a competitive advantage.  The IBCT certification is a global certification which is what many companies that are global require for their global trainers.  The IBCT certification allows you to market this via social media and use the CT on your signature block and business cards.  You become a part of the IBCT database where you might be approached for an opportunity to collaborate with others that were seeking an internationally certified trainer.

    Question: In your company’s view, what makes a person a great trainer?

    A great trainer is one that listens to the need, provides feedback for the expected outcomes, along with activities that align with the client, engages the audience, while attending to each participant’s concerns, goals, and experience, and all the while makes the learning fun by the design of several interactions and check-ins with the participant.  The trainer uses the Tell3 method: Tell them what you are going to (teach) tell them, Tell/teach them, tell them what you told. Taught them.  Review. The trainer is nurturing and provides the tools, best practices, and recommendations for being a successful trainer.

    Question: How much does the 3-Day Train-the-Trainer Course Cost?

    Answer: $2200.00 for the 3-day workshop. $2600.00 for the 3-day workshop with IBCT certification.

    Question: Do you offer government discounts?

    Yes, we offer a 10% discount for government agencies.  We offer a larger discount for onsite private workshops.

    Question: When we complete the three-day training, what certification would we be awarded?  I do see the IBCT fee is included in the cost, so would it be the IBCT Associate Trainer Certificate or the IBCT Professional Trainer Certificate?

    Answer: The level of certification is predicated on experience and education.  Take a look at the link which provides details for all three levels of international certification.  Additionally, you can start at the Associate Trainer level and move up based on additional experience and education.

    Question: What is the cancellation policy for the Train-the-Trainer workshop?

    Answer: Workshop registration is only confirmed when full payment has been received from a participant.

    If sufficient confirmed registrations have not been received two weeks in advance of the scheduled starting date, the workshop may be canceled.

    In the unlikely event that the workshop is canceled, all confirmed participants will be notified immediately and receive a full refund.

    If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not attend the workshop, the participant can apply the registration fee, less the $100 re-processing fee to a future workshop that is taken one year from the original workshop date. Full cancellation must be made within 21 business days after the first day of the workshop.
