- Reduce apprehension about new responsibilities
- Address communication challenges for a distributed team—some located in Seattle, others working remotely
Participant Highlights
“I’ll remember not to take things personally and think about people’s motivations.”
“I will tailor interactions with certain colleagues based on their assessments.”
Workshop Outcomes
Despite interruptions and work demands during the session, participants walked away with:
- Greater awareness of their DISC profile
- Tools to recognize and adapt to different styles
- A commitment to using the assessment as a daily reference for team communication
Facilitator Reflection
While the team remained respectful, engagement levels varied. Six scheduled participants did not attend, and several left intermittently to manage urgent work issues. A planned team-building activity was cut due to time constraints—a missed opportunity for team cohesion. When it came time for evaluations, no one had a pen! 😊
