Now you, a professional trainer, can visibly display your professionalism by earning a certification in facilitation skills by enrolling in TrainSMART’s 3-Day Train-the-Trainer Certification Program and receive your certification from the International Board of Certified Trainers.

Having those letters following your name can be a professional game-changer.

  • Promotes your professionalism. It tells clients, prospects and potential employers that you take your profession seriously.
  • It creates a competitive advantage. It states that you’ve been tested, and you passed – creating confidence that you can get the job done.

In the training profession, the train-the-trainer certification provided by the International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT) is recognized as one of the most prestigious available. A key component of earning that certification is successfully completing an academic course on training.

Typically, this is a semester-long university-level course – with one and only one exception- TrainSmart’s 3-Day Train-the-Trainer Certification Workshop.

Since 2010, The IBCT has recognized that people who successfully complete this workshop meet their eligibility requirements to apply for the IBCT professional certification. Visit our page on the Train-the-Trainer Course to learn more about the course and the cities and dates when it is being offered this year.

Most of the people attending this workshop will apply for either the IBCT Associate Trainer Certification (AT) or the Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) designation.

Once you complete the workshop, you will need to submit some paperwork to the IBCT. Just prepare these documents in a PDF file.
