Our global mining and metals client looked to TrainSmart in need of an updated training program for their learning and development team and the subject matter experts of their Safety Division. TrainSmart was selected based on its proven track record, the Train-the-Trainer program’s international certification and the flexibility TrainSmart offered to customize the Client’s program. Together, the Client and TrainSmart created a training program that would help solve their training needs and allow the participants the chance to go on to become globally certified trainers.
The five-day train-the-trainer workshop specifically designed for the company was a collaboration with the client’s Global Training Director and the TrainSmart team. Working hand-in-hand with the company’s L & D team, the training was designed custom and delivered via eLearning, pre-work, and over the course of one three-day series and a two-day series. Post-work is a requirement, where consulting and coaching services are provided. Training included the Everything DiSC® workplace profile to develop behavioral interpretation skills certification.
Participants from the learning and development team, as well as subject matter experts of the Safety Division, worked on a training project they would deliver in their business function. Using job aids and templates to help them meet their assigned training objectives, each walked away from the training with a completed piece of training spanning the development cycle from birth to development to delivery and evaluation with the ability to become globally certified should they continue on with their training. As of today, the Safety Division is reporting positive results.
