Created A Train-the-Trainer Program for City of Santa Monica
Situation:
The city of Santa Monica’s government was creating its institute, which required new organizational development, knowledge, culture-building, and employee engagement activities. To help the launch go smoothly, they turned to TrainSmart.
The TrainSmart Process:
TrainSMART created a train-the-trainer program that included training for 33 City employees in curriculum development, public speaking, adult interactive learning, classroom dynamics, and evaluation methods.
Results:
Once trained, these individuals developed a curriculum and led SMI knowledge and skills development courses and workshops. The training’s results have been positive. With a successful launch underway, the City staff has now delivered the program without the consultant’s help or involvement. In the future, the City hopes to train additional City staff to be SMI Trainers.
