Business Challenge

While preparing to roll out an SAP implementation program, Elkay Manufacturing realized that the subject matter experts from each of the primary business units had not yet had formal training on preparing “just in time” training and skills to deliver classroom material. TrainSmart designed a workshop that upon completion of training, each of the SMEs either had a completed or draft of their training materials. After completion of the TTT workshop, the roll-out went without a hitch and the same SMEs were engaged for the SAP upgrade, which was only a few years later.

TrainSMART’s instructional design services were called to design a workshop that upon completion of training, each of the SMEs either had a completed or draft of their training materials. TrainSmart provided formal training to prepare the SMEs to on how to best handle to roll-out.

Results

After completion of the Train-the-Trainer workshop, the roll-out went without a hitch and the same SMEs were engaged for the SAP upgrade, which was only a few years later.
