Situation:

A group of trainers from a large Chicago-based transit company needed a workshop to better develop and uniform their training processes.

The TrainSmart Process:

TrainSmart created a tailored 3-day train-the-trainer course for this large transit company’s training department.

The training emphasized the primary topics needed to excel their trainers to the next level of professional training.

The practices incorporated topics that the participants were responsible for designing and providing training. The training practice included formal and informal training (often referred to as structured on-the-job training).

Topics included; adult learning principles, learning assessments, task analysis, training development, presentation skills, and training techniques to most effectively train.

Results:

The transit company was pleased with the results of the training and now reports success in training new hires consistently resulting in fewer human errors.
